Immune modulation

Immune modulation describes how the gut microbiome continuously trains and tunes the immune system. About 70% of all immune cells reside in gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) in constant dialogue with gut bacteria. Through this conversation beneficial bacteria calibrate inflammatory responses, help distinguish food proteins from genuine threats, and suppress inappropriate immune activation. A disrupted microbiome is increasingly linked to autoimmune diseases, allergies, and chronic inflammation.
