Postbiotics

Postbiotics are the beneficial compounds produced by probiotic bacteria during their metabolic activity - including short-chain fatty acids, bacteriocins, enzymes, and vitamins. These compounds have measurable health effects even without live bacteria being present. In some formulations postbiotics may be more stable than live probiotics as they do not require bacterial survival through digestion. Postbiotics represent the newest frontier in probiotic science.
