At the heart of Beie.’s innovation stands MVDr. Alojz Bomba, DrSc., co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of PerBiotiX, and former head of Experimental Medicine at Pavol J. Šafárik University in Košice. With over 40 years of microbiome research, he pioneered the concept of targeted modulation of gut microbiota—a methodology now published and cited internationally. Prof. Bomba led major EU-funded projects studying probiotic and bioactive substances aimed at preventing conditions such as inflammatory bowel diseases, cancer, allergies, and metabolic disorders. He’s also the founder of the International Probiotics & Prebiotics Conference—one of the largest global gatherings of microbiome scientists.
